Anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread, and uneasiness. It might cause you to sweat, feel restless and tense, and have a rapid heartbeat. It can be a normal reaction to stress. For example, you might feel anxious when faced with a difficult problem at work, before taking a test, or before making an important decision. We need to try and talk about our feelings, to a friend, family member, health professional or counselor, use calming breathing exercise and do activities such as running, walking, swimming, yoga to help us relax, try to sleep, eat healthy and find support groups. The United States may have been founded on the idea that all men are created equal, but during the late 18th and early 19th centuries, slave holding was common among the statemen who served as president. All told, at least 12 chief executives- over a quarter of all American presidents - enslaved people during their lifetimes. Of these, eight held enslaved people while in office. The Holocaust during which some some 6 million Jews, gypsies, Jehovah Witnesses, homosexuals, and other people were systematically exterminated by Nazi Germany during World War 2, was one of the most horrific war crimes committed. Antisemitism, sometimes called history's oldest hatred, is hostility or prejudice against Jewish people. The Nazi Holocaust is history's most extreme example of anti- Semitic. During the first half of the 19th century, demand for Cotton led to the expansion of plantation slavery. By 1850 enslaved people were growing Cotton from South Carolina to Texas. With the invention of the Cotton Gin, Cotton became the cash crop of the deep south, stimulating increased demand for enslaved people from the upper south throughout the land.
